Race Night at Bowman Gray Details Released

Discovery Channel is rolling up to what locals call “the most infamous race-track in America,” Winston-Salem, North Carolina’s Bowman Gray Stadium, for its newest Motor Mondays series. “Race Night at Bowman Gray” will anchor the cable network’s Monday primetime lineup starting Oct. 29, TheWrap has learned exclusively.

5 Random Questions with Jonathan Brown

1. What is one non-related race thing we might not know about you?

I like to build stuff, whether it is with wood or metal, like motorcycles or really anything. I just enjoy building things with my hands.

2. What is one fun thing you like to do in your free time?

What is free time, I spend all the time I can with my son Maverick, he’s 4 and growing up way too fast. I like to take him fishing or riding four wheelers. I take him to feed the deer. He loves to be outdoors,  just like his daddy.

3. When you are on the go, what is your go to snack at the gas station?

I just picked up a white chocolate Kit Kat, or something spicy, like spicy Doritos, or anything jalapeno flavored.

4. If you could spend an hour with any one race car driver who would that be?

That’s a tough question, because I have already spent time with Junior Johnson. So it would be Dale Earnhart Sr. But truthfully, I get to talk to my favorite racer every week. My uncle Don Smith. He’s a two-time Bowman Gray modified champion, He has raced with the best drivers that ever walked through the Bowman Gray gates.  I call him multiple times a week and every Saturday to get his opinions on the car and racing.

5. If you could vacation anywhere in the world where would you go?

Alaska, because there is nothing but the great outdoors. Fishing, hunting wildlife… just drop me right in the middle of it all.

Win #3 And We Are Ready To Do It Again!

It’s almost that time again. We finished out last weekend with our 3rd win of the season and it felt awesome. We can’t thank Tim Brown enough for the transmission when ours broke. What should have taken 4 hours to fix, we fixed as a team, in 20 minutes. It’s a great feeling to know you race with competitors willing to help.
